in 2021 I was contacted by a friend who was having trouble getting an old damaged photo restored, her family already had paid money to get it restored and the results were less than satisfactory. The following restoration was achieved by using a combination of compositing techniques and artificial intelligence to restore the faces.

Primary tools used in the restoration process were GIMP and Flux Kontext.
